I like to travel. I live in California. So far I have visited nine other states. There are 50 states in the United States of America. Since I live in California, I still have 40 other states to visit. These are some things I like about the states I have visited.
Nevada
In Nevada I have been to Reno, to Las Vegas, to Lake Tahoe and Tahoe National forest, to parts of the Great Basin, and to the capital in Carson City. In the picture at the top I am pointing to an office in the Capitol Building.
Oregon
I have not been to the capital of Oregon in Salem but I have visited Medford, Jacksonville, Burns. I have not been to Crater Lake or to Crater Lake National Park. These are some places I’d like to visit on another trip.
Arizona
I’ve been to Phoenix but did not go into the capitol building. I spent two weeks in Scottsdale. Where I stayed there was a nice swimming pool. I’ve also been to Yuma. Someday maybe I can visit Tucson. I took some hikes in the desert and saw some giant and some tiny cactuses.
Colorado
I did not visit the capital in Denver when I visited Colorado. I did visit Durango which is close to the four corners of Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. I liked seeing the Durango train when I visited.
Utah
I have not been to Arches National Park but I would like to visit some day. I have also not been to Salt Lake City which is the capital. I don’t remember much about Utah but I know that I passed through the state.
Montana
In Montana I visited and walked around inside and outside the state capital building in Helena. I have been to Missoula, to Livingston, and to Lo Lo Pass where you cross back into Idaho. I camped in Missoula.
Idaho
I drove through Boise but did not stop to visit the capital building. I have been through McCall in both directions coming and going from California. I camped in McCall. I swam in a lake at McCall and after I had some ice cream.
Wyoming
I have not yet been to Cheyenne but I did visit Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. I camped and visited some good restaurants in Cody.
New Mexico
I visited the capital, Santa Fe, but did not go inside the capital building. I rode the Chama (Cumbres & Toltec) train when I was there. I wrote about trains in Karson’s Favorite Train.
These are all the states I’ve visited. They are very interesting with many things to see. I will have to go back again to see more when I can. But, I still have 40 other states to visit.
California
California is my home state. I live on the coast of Mendocino County. It is a large county but doesn’t have a lot of people. San Bernadino is the largest county in California and has lots more people. I have traveled all over California (northern, central, and southern regions). I like living in California but I think I might like living in Arizona better.
Why would you rather live in Arizona??
