Think in the Morning friend and author Paul McHugh is coming to Mendocino’s Gallery Bookshop. I hope to see you there next week to listen to Paul read from his new book.
“Author Paul Mchugh, a Mendocino alumnus, shall join an Authors Showcase at The Gallery Bookshop in Mendocino on Thursday, September 28, at 6 p.m., to read from his newest novel, “Splinter,” a World War II adventure/romance set in Norway. Attend in person to buy signed copies, or view this event via Facebook Live on the Gallery page. He will be joined by authors Mary Kerr and Carol Wilder.”
Think in the Morning reviewed Paul’s last (fabulous) book Came A Horseman at this link:
In a past blog, The Phoenix Myth, we mentioned an early book by McHugh—The Search for Goodbye-To-Rains. Paul told me that in The Search for Goodbye-To-Rains: I tried to capture some of the gestalt of the 60s/70s and think I succeeded to some degree. He did succeed and we still love that book. Now he’s on to a new thriller set in Norway’s past. Our last short story, The Great Divide, is partially set in Scandanavia so we are looking forward to Paul’s book.
Please come next Thursday night. The entire Think in the Morning staff will be there. I hope we get a chance to meet.
Thanks v. much David… and I look ahead with joy at the notion of being surrounded by Mendonesians once again!
